Thursday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ), a candidate for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination, took a shot at show hosts Brian Kilmeade and Steve Doocy when pressed on the ongoing dispute between his opponents Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) over the Iowa caucus earlier this week.
Trump has alleged Cruz propagated the rumor that their fellow opponent Ben Carson was dropping out of the contest in order lure caucus-goers supporting Carson to vote for Cruz, which tilted the entire contest for Cruz.
Christie, however, was not interested in discussing the aftermath of Iowa and suggested the hosts were pushing for a do-over for Trump’s sake.
“What else do you want me to say? I wouldn’t have done it, but the election is over,” Christie said. “I know you guys would like to have a do-over for Donald Trump, but we’re not going to get one.”
