Wednesday on Fox News Channel’s “The Kelly File,” talk show host Glenn Beck discussed the ongoing controversy that has developed over allegations that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), a candidate for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination, propagated rumors his opponent Ben Carson was dropping out of the race as a way to win over caucus-goers supporting Carson to come over and support Cruz.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has been outspoken in his criticism of Cruz’s campaign over those allegations, to which Beck blamed Trump for turning the various conservative factions within the Republican primary contest against each other.
“We are being turned on each other, and there’s no reason to be turning on each other,” Beck said. “A circus performer is turning the conservatives against one another. You couldn’t have planned this better if you were a DNC operative.”
