Bernie Sanders: ‘I Have Been Blessed With Good Health’

Democratic Presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) says he is the vision of good health.

During Monday’s Democratic Town Hall hosted by CNN, he also assured America that he would release his health records before next week’s Iowa Caucus begins.

“If there was wood here, I would knock on it,” Sanders told CNN’s Chris Cuomo. “I have been blessed with good health and good endurance and there’s nothing in the medical records that is going to surprise anybody,” he said.

The topic of Sanders’ health was introduced by Cuomo after he asked the seasoned senator about his older brother, Larry Sanders. The brother was interviewed by CNN on Monday, and praised Sen. Sanders’ athleticism.

Cuomo used that praise to ask Sanders about his health. “I don’t really care about your athletic record,” Cuomo confessed. “If you were elected president… you would be the oldest person elected,” he said. Sanders is 74. “You have medical records,” Cuomo continued. “You say you’re going to release them.”

Sanders turned to his wife Jane and joked, “I mean, where are they Jane? I think they’re on our kitchen table.” He confidently continued, “We will release them. Of course, we’ll release them.”

Former Secretary of State and fellow Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton is 68. Questions have been raised about her personal health, stemming from a concussion and blood clot which resulted in a brain injury; the symptoms of the injury are believed to long-lasting.

Despite the injury and a particularly drawn out “bathroom break” during one of the recent Democratic presidential debates, Hillary’s campaign maintained to Breitbart News that she is in good health and is able to serve as President of the United States.
