Senator Marco Rubio appeared disappointed by the decision by a grand jury to indict two activists responsible for the undercover Planned Parenthood videos exposing the organization for taking payments for body parts of unborn babies.
“I’m disturbed,” Marco Rubio said in an interview with CNN’s Sara Murray. “We’ll need to learn more, but I’m disturbed that while Planned Parenthood, who are the ones that were actually selling off these parts, were found having done nothing wrong, the people who tried to expose them are the ones that are now facing criminal charges.”
Founder of Center for Medical Progress David Daleiden was indicted for felony tampering with a government record and also for buying fetal tissue while undercover.
In a statement defending his actions, Daleiden argued that he used “the same undercover techniques that investigative journalists have used for decades.”
“We respect the processes of the Harris County District Attorney, and note that buying fetal tissue requires a seller as well,” he said. “Planned Parenthood still cannot deny the admissions from their leadership about fetal organ sales captured on video for all the world to see.”
