The Johnny Manziel era in Cleveland could be coming to an end soon.
Hue Jackson is now coaching the Browns and he is reportedly not interested in dealing with the off-field drama that comes with “Johnny Football.”
That means the former Heisman winning quarterback would soon be free to sign with whoever he chooses. If so, it’s highly speculated that Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones could be interested in bringing Manziel to his home state to back up aging and oft-injured quarterback Tony Romo.
GOP presidential candidate Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ), avid Cowboys fan and Jerry Jones friend, said on the Hugh Hewitt radio show Monday that he is not on the Manziel to Dallas train. In fact, the New Jersey Governor wants to throw his body in front of that train to keep it from happening.
“I’ve got to say, Hugh, as much as you’re begging me to, I will not. I will throw my body in front of the Johnny Manziel train if it heads towards Dallas.”
