A black Atlanta woman supporting Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump explained in a video that she can’t believe she ever supported the Democratic party, and threatened to divorce her husband if he didn’t vote Trump for president.
“Trump gives me real hope and change, not fake hope and change,” the woman, a self-described Democrat, starts off saying in a rant posted to YouTube.
“I never thought I’d be saying these words about the country,” she continued. “Democrats don’t speak about the country but I’ve woken up, I’ve seen the truth and the truth is Trump, I believe in this guy to make our country better because our country is going to hell!”
“My daughter can’t find a job, she’s a college graduate. Black men are 50 percent unemployed. Our borders are wide open. I love everybody don’t get me wrong, but we have to close our borders,” the woman said.

“Trump is speaking the truth and that is why I’m here,” she concluded.
At this point you can hear the woman holding the camera say, “I’m also a recovering Democrat.”
“The Democrats are crazy,” the Trump supporter said in response. “The Democrats are crazy. I can’t believe I thought that way.”
The woman then said she told her husband, who supports Bernie Sanders, that “If he don’t vote for Trump, we’re getting a divorce.”
The woman’s sentiments seem to be shared by a growing number of disaffected Democrats.
According to the New York Times, Democrats are some of Donald Trump’s “strongest supporters.”
A Survey USA poll released last fall showed 25 percent of black voters said they would support the billionaire real estate mogul over former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
All this comes as Donald Trump just secured the endorsement of the National Black Republican Association.
“Black Americans across America are beginning to wake up and see clearly the reality of what is happening in black neighborhoods,” the group said in a blog post over the weekend.
