Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump kept up his attacks on Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), tweeting a photo of the World Trade Center after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Trump and Cruz have been engaging in a back and forth ever since Cruz said earlier this week that Trump embodied “New York values.”

In Thursday’s Republican presidential debate, Trump attacked Cruz for insulting New Yorkers and said that he found the comments offensive. Cruz explained his comments by saying that, “not a lot of conservatives come out of Manhattan.”

On Saturday Cruz released a 1999 interview Trump had on Meet the Press where he discusses how New York has shaped his views. The press release included quotes of Trump from the interview:

I live in New York City. There is a tremendous movement on to have and allow gay marriage. Hey, I lived in New York City and Manhattan all my life so my views are a little bit different than if I lived in Iowa, perhaps, but [gays openly serving in the military] is not something that would disturb me.
I’m very pro choice. And again it may be a little bit of a New York background because there is some different having attitude in different parts of the country and you know I was raised in New York, grew up and work and everything else in New York City.
But you would not ban partial-birth abortion?
No.

Cruz also told reporters Saturday that, “Donald’s record does not match what he says as a candidate.” He added that, “I recognize what Donald says on the campaign trail today is fairly conservative, but voters are discerning.”
