President Obama confessed that he still hadn’t seen the new Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens.
During an interview with YouTube personality Adande Thorne or “Swoozie,” he was asked if he had seen the film yet.
“I have not,” he replied, but said that the first Star Wars was his favorite film – recalling that he saw it in theaters when he was 14 or 15.
He was also shown a poster of Star Wars characters, as Thorne asked him which character he would rather be.
“I gotta go with choose Han Solo,” Obama replied, adding that he was a “little bit of a rebel.”
In December, Obama suggested that he was planning to see it on the day it was released shortly before he left on vacation.
“Okay everyone, I’ve got to get to Star Wars,” he said after a press conference on December 18 at the White House. The Obamas hosted a screening for The Force Awakens for members of the armed services and their families at the White House theater that afternoon – but it appears that Obama did not watch the film.
