Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush’s favorability among Republicans has gone down 28 points since July, according to a Gallup poll.
Bush’s favorability is the poorest among men. His favorability among men went down 39 points, and his favorability among women went down 13 points since July.
According to Gallup:
Bush’s image among Republicans has grown steadily more negative with each passing month since July, and he now enters the 2016 election year with the worst image of any of nine major GOP candidates among the party base — a trend that is presumably the exact opposite of what his campaign would have wanted.
The poll also found that, of all the Republican presidential candidates, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has seen the biggest jump in favorability. Christie’s net favorability is up 23 points since July.
The telephone-based survey was done July 8-2015 – Jan. 5 2016 with 44,111 Republicans and Republican leaning voters. The margin of error is plus or minus 4 percent.
