During Gun Town Hall, Obama Watches Himself Cry on CNN

During the town hall on guns with President Obama, CNN showed him a clip of himself crying at the White House and was asked for a reaction.

While the clip played, the CNN cameras showed Obama’s reaction to video.

CNN’s Anderson Cooper described the moment as an “obviously emotional ceremony” and said that people who watched were “surprised by that.”

“I was, too, actually,” Obama said, reminding the audience that he visited the families who lost children at Newtown Elementary and it was “still very raw.”

“It’s the only time I’ve ever seen Secret Service cry on duty,” Obama explained.

Obama recalled the details of the event to drive home the point that more needed to be done on gun control.
