GOP frontrunner Donald Trump praised a man wearing a Donald Trump-Tom Brady t-shirt during a campaign rally, where “thousands and thousands packed into arena in Lowell, MA.”
“Oh, I love that man,” stated Trump, pointing to the shirt during his speech and asking the man to stand. “It says Trump and Tom Brady, look, together. I love Tom Brady.”
The shirt got a standing ovation, according to Boston’s CBS affiliate.
“That is the coolest shirt, I gotta get one of those shirts,” Trump commented.
The New England Patriots’ quarterback has praised Trump in the past after being questioned about one of the real estate mogul’s “Make America Great Again” hats being spotted in Brady’s locker.
“That would be great,” Brady responded when asked about Trump’s chances of being elected President of the United States. “There’d be a putting green on the White House lawn, I’m sure of that.”
“We gotta get Tom better,” Trump stressed during the rally, referencing Brady’s ankle injury following Sunday’s game against Miami. “Remember, Tom Brady injured is still better than anybody else.”
“Tom has been very nice to me, and Tom’s my friend, and he’s been saying great things about me,” Trump added.
