Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” the back and forth continued between Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and the New Hampshire Union-Leader publisher Joseph W. McQuaid over his editorial calling Trump a “crude blowhard.”
Monday Trump responded Trump fired back calling McQuaid a “lowlife.”
McQuaid responded by saying, “I think the polls are bunk. The polls four years ago said Obama was going beat Hillary up here and I knew that wasn’t going to be the case. Knock him off a pedestal? It will be up to the voters. I said in the editorial that the great majority of New Hampshire Republicans would repudiate Trump and that will be true. He may come in first with his very high core supporters and then what’s going to happen is the others are going to shake out. New Hampshire is going to winnow the field, not Fox, not you guys deciding who gets on the main stage, and there will be fewer people and one of them will take on Trump and I’m sure beat him soundly for the Republican nomination. So not to worry.”
