A police dash camera video released by the Texas Rangers shows that the axe-wielding University of North Texas student killed by police yelled, “Shoot me, Shoot me,” right before he was shot. It also showed that the officer told the student to “Back away,” approximately six times before he was killed.
WFAA ABC released the dash cam video and reported what transpired.
On Monday, Breitbart Texas reported that the axe-wielding student was killed by police following a confrontation on campus that terrorized students. The shooting took place at the UNT campus in Denton, Texas. The North Texas Daily had tweeted a video released by police showing 21-year-old Ryan McMillan walking through the garage carrying a long axe in his hand.
A law enforcement officer responded to a call that a man was breaking car windows at a parking garage. An officer was reported to have seen him smash at least one car window. The damage caused to the vehicles was estimated to be in the thousands of dollars.
After the police officer arrived, McMillan advanced upon the officer. The officer fatally shot the young man after repeatedly warning him to “back away.”

A Texas Ranger was assigned to investigate the officer-involved shooting according to a report by North Texas Daily.
Not all believe that the officer was correct in shooting the axe-wielding man, as reported by a news source. “You could have disarmed him,” one person yelled at investigating officers.
WFAA reported that a Denton couple, Marquel Govan and Ebony Carter, are grateful that the officer saved their lives. “This cop saved lives that night, simple as that,” Govan said. The couple told the news outlet that the officer was very calm. Galvan and Carter said McMillan approached them as they sat in their car early Sunday morning. Govan said, “He was walking down the middle of the street and coming behind from some other car.”
