Tragedy struck Cathedral High School in Indianapolis, Indiana on Thursday, as sophomore Jennifer Maginot died early Thursday morning, according to a school statement.
Cathedral High School is a private, Catholic college preparatory high school on the north side of Indianapolis. Maginot’s official cause of death has not been released. Students have told their parents Maginot died of meningitis, but the school has not confirmed this.
Cathedral’s student body gathered this morning before class for a prayer service in the school’s courtyard. The video below is how the prayer service ended.
Cathedral High School principal Dave Worland said, “Today I have again been reminded of just how incredible our students, faculty, staff and parents are. The love and support that has been displayed to Jennifer’s friends, teammates, and classmates has been astounding. We are truly blessed here at Cathedral.”
Donations to Cathedral High School can be made in Jennifer’s honor.
