Ex-U.S. Official: San Bernardino Massacre Exposes Obama’s Blindness To Radical Islam

TEL AVIV – An expert on terrorism and former White House official says that the San Bernardino attacks were aided and abetted by President Barack Obama’s refusal to address radical Islam. According to the expert, terror attacks are the result of the willful ignorance of Middle East caliphates, Muslim front organizations in America, and weak immigration controls where jihadists can enter western countries under the guise of refugees.

In an oped by Pete Hoekstra, a senior fellow at the Investigative Project on Terrorism and the former Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, the writer claims that the mass murder of 14 people in San Bernardino by two Muslims is the result of Islamist radicalization and the Obama administration’s failure to admit this fact will only generate more terror attacks on U.S. soil.

According to Hoekstra, the San Bernardino murders prove that the U.S. is not immune to the terror that has struck Europe over the past year. Weak immigration laws remain in place despite the enormous problem of crumbling states and the creation of caliphates in the Middle East.

Meanwhile at home, Muslim Brotherhood front organizations like the Council for American Islamic Relations (CAIR) are allowed to operate freely and Muslim Brotherhood representatives are even invited to top level meetings at the White House. All this, asserts Hoekstra, has contributed to the emergence of Islamist terrorism on American soil.

Hoekstra recounts several instances of Islamic terror in the U.S. over the past few years, including the ISIS flag-waving California college student who stabbed four people; the Texas jihadist showdown in May; and the Fort Hood murders which were described by Obama as “workplace violence.”

These attacks, claim Hoekstra, “were all aided and abetted by a President that is absolutely incapable of uttering the words ‘radical Islam.'” Hoekstra continues by lamenting the fact that the administration has banned the term “radical Islam” from the White House and neither was it to be found in any of Obama’s condemnations over the Paris attacks. In addition, Obama has eliminated any texts that might offend Muslims from FBI training manuals.

“Americans can no longer accept the administration’s willful blindness to reality,” writes Hoestra. “It is Islamist terrorism. Radical Islam and all of its barbaric, evil elements fundamentally hate Western liberal democracies that are based upon basic Judeo-Christian values.

“Such attacks will only become more common and more violent until the President — after seven years in office — and America finally take the threat seriously.”
