GOP presidential candidate Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) was a guest on Fox News Channel’s “MediaBuzz” Sunday to talk about his campaign and the Syrian refugee crisis.
Christie made it known that he is not for Syrian refugees coming over to the United States because FBI Director James Comey has said there is “no effective way to vet the people” and that there should not be any Syrian refugees accepted because the nation’s security should be “first and foremost.”
“The FBI director has said before Congress that there is no effective way to vet the people. That is the beginning and end of the conversation for me. American national security and homeland security must be first and foremost.”
“MediaBuzz” host Howard Kurtz then asked the New Jersey governor if he thought it was an issue to only admit the Christian Syrian refugees like GOP opponent Ted Cruz, which Christie replied by saying it is an issue America should not be admitting any refugees.
