The owner of Schuler’s Bakery said the response to the “politically incorrect” sign displayed in Springfield, OH has been “overwhelming” in the amount of support and business has been booming, according to KUTV.
Schuler’s Bakery owner Trent Schuler said he cannot believe all the attention his sign has received since the photo of his sign went viral.
“I had no idea it was going to turn out like this. I think it’s great, though, the overwhelming amount of support that people have given to just expressing your opinion,” Schuler said.
The sign reads, “Notice. This store is politically incorrect. We say Merry Christmas, God Bless America, we salute our flag & give thanks to our troops, police officers and firefighters. If this offends you, you are welcome to leave. In God We Trust.”
Since he put it up, Trent Schuler says he has had requests for interviews and calls from all over the country and even some internationally.
“We have gotten calls from Hawaii. Some veterans that want to support us. We’ve gotten calls from Cuba today. We have gotten calls from every state in the United States,” he said.
Customers are coming from all around to show their support, some making a four hour drive.
“Many of us feel we are being told what we are suppose to think or what we are suppose to say,” Schuler stated about the reasoning for the sign.
