Actor James Woods is calling out President Barack Obama for his “shocking failure to lead,” amid the debate about his plan to accept thousands of unvetted Syrian refugees.
Woods, who has become known for his advocacy nearly as much as his many film roles, used Twitter to challenge POTUS on Wednesday.
Citing an article in Wednesday’s USA TODAY, the actor was responding to a statement made by the president, which portrayed the GOP’s security concerns as paranoia.
“Apparently, they’re scared of widows and orphans coming into the United States of America as part of our tradition of compassion,” Obama said this week. “First, they were worried about the press being too tough on them during debates. Now they’re worried about 3-year-old orphans. That doesn’t sound very tough to me.”
Woods responded, “The only widows and orphans on our minds, Sir, are the ones created by your shocking failure to lead.” President Obama has proposed bringing at least 10,000 extra Syria refugees into the U.S. over the next year.
The president took to Twitter this week to defend his stance on the issue.
As Breitbart’s Dr. Susan Berry reported this week, PBS Frontline’s ISIS in Afghanistan on Monday, showed how children, many of them toddlers, are being trained for worldwide jihad by the Islamic State.
Abdullah, a teacher featured on the program, instructs the children, “We must implement God’s religion over all people. God says do jihad until intrigue, idolatry and infidelity are gone from the world.”
