Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee tells Breitbart News exclusively that President Barack Obama is more angry with Republicans in America than he is with ISIS and jihadists around the world.

Huckabee said that makes Obama weaker than France’s president, Francois Hollande.

“France’s President has declared war on Islamic Jihad; President Obama has declared war on Republican Governors, but in the meantime, our open border idiocy is opening us up to threats here at home,” Huckabee said in an email. “I could only wish that President Obama would be as visibly angry at jihadists as he is at Republicans.”

Huckabee’s comments came in response to the report from Breitbart Texas’ Brandon Darby on Wednesday evening that eight Syrians were caught at the U.S. border with Mexico in Laredo, Texas. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has since confirmed the exclusive report from Breitbart Texas.

Huckabee has been one of the leading Republican voices on the issue of immigration as it relates to the economy and also as it relates to national security. This week in a Time Magazine op-ed, Huckabee called for a ban on all visa issuances for travelers from countries with an ISIS presence.

“In the face of continued ISIS threats, it’s time for common sense. Middle Eastern countries need to accept responsibility and tackle their own refugee problems in their own back yard. And the U.S. needs to get serious,” Huckabee wrote.

First, we must immediately ban ALL visas for travelers and tourists from any country with a significant ISIS or al-Qaeda presence. Second, we must reject all Syrian refugees to America. It makes no sense to relocate these refugees half way around the world. Some misguided Republicans think we should just ban Syrian Muslims from coming to the U.S. But terrorists will say anything to infiltrate America – including lying about their religion. Trusting the Obama administration to process these refugees puts American lives in danger. Third, we must immediately secure our borders and build the southern border fence with Mexico today. A country that cannot control its borders is not a country. No more excuses. Lastly, Republicans in Washington must hold Obama’s feet to the fire. For once, they must stand strong and reject Obama’s power-play on refugees.

Huckabee has previously called on newly elected House Speaker Paul Ryan to resign from his position if he is unwilling to stop the flow of Syrian refugees into America immediately. Thus far, Ryan has not been fighting to stop the flow.
