New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is mocking Secretary of State John Kerry for suggesting that there was a “rationale” behind the Charlie Hebdo terrorist attacks in Paris in January.
“He needs to get some sleep and shut up, is what he needs,” Christie said on Fox News this morning in response to Kerry’s remarks. “That’s disgraceful.”
Christie explained that Kerry’s blooper was one more reason why the Obama administration was considered weak on ISIS, sending mixed signals to the rest of the world and failing to lead.
Christie added that Obama was living in a “fantasy world” where ISIS wasn’t a threat, and accused President Obama for taking away tools necessary to monitor terrorist threats.
“ISIS is now a global threat … part of what happened in Paris was an intelligence failure,” Christie said. “This is a president who took tools away from the NSA, has taken tools away from the CIA.”
