Thursday at a campaign rally in Fort Dodge, IA, Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump took a shot at his opponent, former Johns Hopkins neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson, who in recent weeks has closed the gap between he and Trump in numerous polls.
Trump complained that those who believed Carson’s explanation for alleged inaccuracies and other claims in his autobiography “Gifted Hands” was a sign of stupidity of some Iowa and throughout the country.
“How stupid are the people of Iowa?” Trump said. “How stupid are the people of the country to believe this crap?”
“Give me a break, give me a break,” he added. “It doesn’t happen that way. It doesn’t happen that way.”
Trump repeated a comparison he made earlier on CNN about Carson being “pathological” and there being no cure for that in the same way there is no cure for being a child molester.
