In a poll of 1,000 likely voters, Rasmussen Reports asked if the “government [should] investigate and prosecute scientists and others including major corporations who question global warming?” A full 27% of Democrats replied in the affirmative, as did 12% of Republicans.
Does this mean that it is now okay to start using Hitler references? Because I’m thinking the time might be right.
Should Democrats win the day on this issue — keep in mind that the 27% only represent those willing to confess openly to their fascism — they will find the courts and jails packed with plenty of bourgeois skeptics; this same poll found that only 24% of respondents believe the Global Warming science is settled. Meanwhile, nearly two-thirds, 63%, believe the debate is not yet done.
The poll found that it was primarily younger voters who want to prosecute non-believers. When you look at the fascist safe-space nonsense rolling out across the American campus today, and the national media patronizing them, this is not at all hard to believe.
Other findings:
Fifty-six percent (56%) of voters believe the president’s new plan to limit greenhouse gas emissions from coal-burning power plants will increase energy costs in the United States, and only 33% think it will do a lot to fight global warming. …
When given a choice, 63% say creating jobs is more important than taking steps to try to stop global warming, consistent with regular surveying for over two years now.
Much more here.
