On this week’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday,” Republican presidential candidate Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) said being dropped from the main debate stage to the earlier smaller debate Tuesday on Fox Business has helped his fundraising.
Christie said, “There are a lot of people out there who disagree with what Fox did, and we’ve been getting more donations in the last week than we got in the week before, because people feel like we’re getting a raw deal. So it hasn’t hurt the donations at all. In fact incredibly, it’s actually worked the opposite. There are a lot of people looking to level the playing field.”
He added that national polls do not matter at this point in the election cycle saying, “What really matters is what’s happening in New Hampshire and Iowa.”
