On this weekend’s broadcast of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” the cold open parodied MSNBC’s Democratic forum from Friday.
Actress Cecily Strong playing Rachel Maddow, rushed through talking with Taran Killam’s Gov. Martin O’Malley to quickly bring in Democratic presidential candidate “Hillary Clinton,” played by Kate McKinnon. McKinnon’s Clinton then mocked her Benghazi hearings, saying, “11 hours, baby. They couldn’t break me and they never will.”
Then Larry David, playing the role of Bernie Sanders, noted how much black people love him.
“I can’t call my crush, it would take too long because my crush is every black person in America. Black people love me, Rachel. When I ran for senator in Vermont, I got 50 percent of the black vote. His name was Marcus.”
