Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Live With Thomas Roberts,” in reacting to Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump calling her “highly neurotic” Monday on “Breitbart News Daily,” Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz said Trump’s “misogynistic” and “offensive” comments are “reflective of what the entire Republican Party stands for.”

Wasserman Schultz said, “I’m a firm believer in what a very wise person told me years ago, and that’s if people show you who they are, you should believe them. Donald Trump has repeatedly shown Americans throughout his campaign exactly who he is, what he stands for and quite frankly, really is reflective of what the entire Republican Party stands for. His misogynistic comments are obviously offensive, but it’s really—if you look down deep, the underbelly of the Republican Party positions on issues that are important to women, their opposition to comprehensive immigration reform where now every single candidate running for president opposes comprehensive immigration reform. It’s, you know, when comments like that are made, it really doesn’t need much more comment. They speak for themselves.”

She added, “It’s very clearly, the sentiments of Donald Trump, whether it’s that we should kick all the undocumented immigrants in this country out of the United States and send them back where they came from, to insulting Mexicans at the outset of his campaign by calling them all rapists. All the different times that Donald Trump has made insulting comments about individual women specifically, but the offensive way that he refers to women, really, it’s just—I will tell you, I’m happy to just have Donald Trump just keep talking and then demonstrate that because he’s at the top or right at number two, of their Republican field. It shows you where the Republican Party is today. So he should just keep talking. It just helps us eventually elect a Democratic nominee as the 45th president.”
