Marco Rubio Super Pac Compares Him to Ronald Reagan

A new political video produced by the Conservative Solutions PAC compares Sen. Marco Rubio to former President Ronald Reagan – pointing out that he is a “young man in a hurry” who “took on the Republican establishment.”

The ad suggests that Rubio’s credentials as a conservative outsider need to be restated, in an attempt to drum up grassroots support for his candidacy.

“The experts and insiders were shocked, but not the people,” the narrator says. “They knew because they heard his clear conservative voice. Less government, more freedom, a foreign policy founded on strength.”

Conservative Solutions is a pro-Rubio super PAC run by Warren Tompkins who worked as South Carolina political director for Ronald Reagan, according to the Washington Post.

Tompkins also worked as an operative for George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, and Mitt Romney.
