Sunday on AM 970 The Answer’s “The Cats Roundtable” broadcasted in New York City, Republican political consultant Mary Matalin told host John Catsimatidis that Republican presidential candidate former Gov. Jeb Bush’s (R-FL) debate performance when he attacked his opponent Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) about his voting record last week “was nothing short of political malfeasance.”
Matalin said, “I love Jeb and I know Jeb and I am flummoxed by that. It’s a violation of Debate 101. You never address to an opponent something you know he’s prepared for and clearly Rubio was. But secondly it cuts against his message of ‘I’m a happy warrior.” So he keeps swinging these punches. As a democratic told me, not my husband, sometimes in politics you throw a punch and it lands on yourself. I think it is recoverable. But it was nothing short of political malfeasance.”
