On Sunday’s “Meet the Press” on NBC, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) addressed the Benghazi hearing, and host Chuck Todd asked him if Hillary Clinton was a cooperative witness.
Gowdy responded by saying the former secretary of state was cooperative in the sense that she answered the question, however she did not give an accurate answer.
“[Hillary] answered the questions, and I would note I don’t think I ever cut her off. She was given ample opportunity, so she answered the questions, yeah, if that’s your definition of cooperative, yes,” Gowdy said. “I’ve always also injected an element of wholeness and completeness and also truthfulness in the definition of cooperative.”
“Did she cooperate in answering the question? Yes. Was it an accurate answer? No,” he concluded
