A volunteer for Jeb Bush’s campaign ambushed GOP frontrunner Donald Trump at a “No Labels” forum in New Hampshire on Monday.
The young woman challenged Trump about equal pay for women and whether she can control what happens with her body.
According to the Conservative Tree House, Lauren Batchelder has worked for the establishment-backed Bush campaign – and has been pictured with other GOP establishment candidates including Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC). She has also been listed as an intern for Sen. Kelly Ayotte on LinkedIn.
Since the news broke about her link to the Bush campaign, Batchelder has deleted some of the evidence on social media, according to the Conservative Tree House.
Bush’s spokesperson Allie Brandenburger told Breitbart News:
Like many in NH, Lauren is a student at St. A’s who is passionate about and active in politics and attended this event on her own accord. While this question was not sanctioned by the campaign, we can’t help but notice Mr. Trump does seem to be very sensitive about being challenged by women.
Lauren has never been paid staff, she has volunteered at events as she has for other candidates in NH.
At the town hall event, Batchelder asked “If you’re elected president, will I make the same as a man? And will I do what I want with my body?”
“You’ll make the same if you do as good of a job,”Trump responded. “And I happen to be pro-life.”
A Bush spokesperson told Breitbart News she will continue volunteering with the campaign, as she has others.
