On Monday’s broadcast of NBC’s “Today,” Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton fielded questions from Savannah Guthrie on a number of issues, which included her personal email server and the House Benghazi Select Committee led by Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC).
On the topic of the Benghazi committee, Clinton lashed out and was described as “angry” over the politicization of the committee.
“This committee was set up, as they have admitted, for the purpose of making a partisan political issue out of the deaths of four Americans,” Clinton said. “I would never have done that, and if I were president and there were Republicans or Democrats thinking about that, I would have done everything to shut it down.”
