A new YouGov/Economist poll of Republican voters shows that Donald Trump is leading the presidential field, but that Sen. Marco Rubio has jumped up into second place, followed closely by Carly Fiorina and Ben Carson.
Rubio has seen a boost in support after the CNN Republican Debate, especially after Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker shocked the political establishment by dropping out of the race.
Since an early September YouGov poll, Rubio jumped nine points to 16 percent since the debate. Trump’s lead has faded slightly, falling eight points since his pre-debate lead of 33 percent to 25 percent.
Ben Carson is in third place with 15 percent, followed by Sen. Ted Cruz with nine percent and Fiorina with eight percent.
Former Florida governor Jeb Bush is now in sixth place.
Here is how each candidate fared in the recent poll:
Trump: 25
Rubio: 16
Carson: 15
Cruz: 9
Fiorina: 8
Bush: 7
Paul: 4
Kasich: 4
Christie: 3
Huckabee: 2
Jindal: 2
