Hollywood’s highest paid leading lady, Jennifer Lawrence, is not a fan of Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump.
Entertainment Weekly reports the actress expressed her disapproval for Trump while promoting the final installment of The Hunger Games franchise, when the New York billionaire’s name came up in a conversation.
“If Donald Trump becomes president, that will be the end of the world,” said Lawrence.
I’ll back you up on that,” Liam Hemsworth chimed in, the actress’s Hunger Games co-star.
Actor Josh Hutcherson also stars in the film, and told EW he believes Trump’s campaign is nothing more than a “publicity stunt.”
“It can’t be real,” he said, as Lawrence further questioned Trump’s validity.
Lawrence said:
I genuinely believe that reality television has reached the ultimate place where now things like this might be just for entertainment…It’s either that or it’s Hillary’s brilliant idea.
She added:
I was watching him on the campaign trail and one guy said, ‘I love Donald Trump because he’s saying everything I’m thinking and I just can’t say it because of the PC factor.’
And I’m thinking, ‘You are absolutely right. That’s who I want representing my country, somebody politically incorrect. That will just be perfect.
While Trump has not won everyone over by refusing to be politically correct during his campaign, a recent survey commissioned by Rasmussen revealed 71 percent of American adults believe “political correctness” is a problem.
USA Today reports the outspoken billionaire businessman continues to lead the crowded field of Republican candidates by 23%, which is up 6% from its July survey.
