Two young Ohioans, fancying themselves Bonnie and Clyde-types, allegedly robbed a bank, then went home and took selfies to post on Facebook, leading police to arrest them days later.
The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office and the Ashville Police Department identified John E. Mogan II, 28, and his girlfriend, Ashley K. Duboe, 24, as the two suspects in the August 24 robbery of Savings Bank Ashville North. The Chillicothe Gazette reported that Mogan entered the bank, handed the teller a note, then fled on foot.
Investigators alleged that Mogan went home, where he and Duboe commenced with their selfies, showing them holding the cash. They uploaded the pictures to Facebook.
Duboe is being held in the Licking County Jail; Mogan is being held in the Pickaway County Jail. They are charged with robbery, fifth degree felony charges of theft. Their bond is set at $250,000 each; they face a minimum of four years in prison.
