GOP frontrunner Donald Trump addressed a massive crowd at the Oklahoma State Fair Friday evening, during which he received an endorsement by Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson.
Just moments after taking the platform and declaring, “We are going to make our country great again,” Trump invited Willie Robertson on stage, asking, “Do you love Trump?”
“I do like me some Trump, I gotta admit,” said Robertson. “Here’s the deal. We’re both successful businessmen. We both have pretty big shows on television. We both have wives that are 1,000 times better looking than us, so I like Trump.”
Trump also told his supporters in Oklahoma that America would have to get used to winning when he becomes president of the United States.
“Our country doesn’t have any victories anymore,” he said. “We don’t win. We don’t win at anything. We don’t win with ISIS. We don’t win with China, Japan, Mexico—we don’t win with anybody.”
“And we are going to start winning so much that you’re going to get sick and tired of winning. You’re going to get bored of winning,” he continued, before explaining why he decided to run for the party’s nomination.
“We have many difficulties. Our biggest difficulty is our politicians who are all talk and no action,” he said. “They keep working, they just want one thing: they want their job renewed every two or four years.”
“Mitt Romney let us down. Something happened to him in the last month. He choked, like a golfer he couldn’t sink that last putt. Something happened to him. That was an election that should’ve been won,” Trump asserted. “I backed him. He lost. So I said this time I’m doing it myself.”
Trump also spoke at the Values Voter Summit in Washington D.C. early Friday. With his bible in hand, he vowed to take back Christmas.
“I love Christmas. I love Christmas. But you see ‘Happy Holidays’ all over,” he said. “I wanna see ‘Christmas.’ Other people can have their holidays, but Christmas is Christmas.”
He added: “I’m for seeing ‘Merry Christmas.’ Remember the expression ‘Merry Christmas?’ You don’t see it anymore. You’re going to see it if I get elected, I can tell you.”
