ROANOKE, Va. – A Roanoke man pleaded guilty on Friday to killing a toddler and attempting to kill her mother.

Warner Hunter III was charged with the first-degree murder of Aryah Lipford. She was shot and killed on July 16, just one week before her second birthday.

Her mother, Rachael Quesenberry, was shot several times and survived.
