Trump: Romo Injury ‘Not Good News’ for Cowboys, Monster Game ‘Great News’ for Tom Brady

In an #AskTrump question and answer on Twitter Monday, GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump was asked if the broken clavicle injury that Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo suffered Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles will keep the Cowboys out of the playoffs if Romo misses the whole season.

Trump responded to the question, saying the Romo injury is a “terrible thing for the Dallas Cowboys.” He continued that the three touchdown, 466-yard passing performance by Tom Brady means “great news” for the New England Patriots and their quarterback, who recently said he hopes Trump win the presidency.

“The fact that Tony Romo got hurt is a terrible thing for the Dallas Cowboys,” Trump opined. “I think Tony is a great guy, I know him, and he’s also a great football player and it certainly will hurt Dallas but their defense is excellent. Tom Brady just came out and endorsed me and Tom Brady had another fantastic game, a total winner. It’s gonna be a very interesting season, but for Dallas, not good news. For the Patriots, the way Tom’s playing, great news.”
