Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was the target of vandalism this week.
Trump received the star in 2007, according to The Hollywood Reporter, which now has a large yellow X through it. The vandal(s) also drew over Trump’s name:
No other details about how the star was defaced, or who might be responsible are available.
“We regret that someone would deface a historic landmark,” Hollywood Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Leron Gubler told The Hollywood Reporter Thursday. “People who have a disagreement with Donald Trump should not take it out on the Walk of Fame.”
Gubler promised the star would be restored “as soon as possible.”
