Celebrities, it appears, really like President Obama’s idea for free community college, and are lending their voice to promote it.
Piper Perabo, Kal Penn, Louis C.K, and Chris Rock have already announced their support for “Heads Up America” – a new public awareness campaign of why free college would be a good idea.
Karl Penn commented this morning that funding Obama’s free college plan would be “like 3.5% of what the Iraq War did.”
Other celebrities tweeted their support of the idea.
Obama traveled to Michigan yesterday aboard Air Force One with Joe Biden’s wife, Dr. Jill Biden to promote the idea.
“Education has always been the secret sauce, the secret to America’s success,” he said during a speech at Macomb Community College.
