Gov. Bobby Jindal blasted Hillary Clinton’s comparison of Republican opponents of funding Planned Parenthood to “terrorists” Friday by urging her to “look in the mirror” at the fact that her foundation has raised money from countries that terrorize women.
“Secretary Clinton must be very confused,” Jindal said, according to his campaign. “She seems to think that the 50% of Americans who oppose abortion are ‘terrorists’. She thinks the people who make money killing unborn babies and selling their body parts are noble.”
“Before Hillary Clinton talks about the treatment of women, she should take a look in the mirror and reflect on her own actions,” he continued. “Her foundation has raised money from countries that prevent women from driving, legalize spousal rape, and allow for genital mutilation.”
Jindal observed that while Clinton was Secretary of State, the Clinton Foundation received funds from a group on the State Department’s list of “banned terrorist organizations” and one of the “world’s leading financial sponsors of Hamas.”
In Cleveland on Thursday, Clinton attempted to campaign on the stereotypical radical feminist refrain of the 1960s that holds abortion up as the ultimate women’s freedom.
“Now, extreme views about women, we expect that from some of the terrorist groups, we expect that from people who don’t want to live in the modern world, but it’s a little hard to take from Republicans who want to be president of the United States,” Clinton said. “Yet they espouse out of date and out of touch policies. They are dead wrong for 21st century America. We are going forward. We are not going back.”
