New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is going after Jeb Bush for his multiple gaffes in the presidential campaign, suggesting that the former Florida Governor was not prepared to run.

“The problem is this, when you haven’t been in a relevant campaign as a Republican since 1998, you’re going to continue to make the kind of mistakes that we see Governor Bush making,” Christie said during an interview with Laura Ingraham on her radio show this morning.

Christie additionally criticized Bush for his comments on immigration, including his recent derisive comments about Asians as well as his defense of the Iraq war launched by his brother.

“The fact is, if what we want to do as a Republican Party is re-litigate the old wars, of the 90’s and the 2000’s then, Jeb is the perfect candidate,” Christie said.

Christie admitted that Bush was a good governor in Florida, but suggested that he was an outdated presidential candidate for Republicans in 2016.

“Listen I like Jeb Bush, I think he’s a very nice guy, and he did a nice job as the Governor of Florida, but you know, that was over a decade ago, and there’s really been nothing that’s happened in his career from a public service perspective since,” he concluded.
