Lynnette “Diamond” Hardaway and Rochelle “Silk” Richardson, the “Stump for Trump” girls, joined CNN’s Don Lemon after Donald Trump’s 20,000-plus Alabama rally on Friday to say that black lives would be better if Trump were president.
“Imagine if [America] was rich, Don.” Lynnette “Diamond” Hardaway said, “Those boys in Baltimore and Ferguson would have jobs today because they would be thriving again.”
When asked if “black lives would be better under a Donald Trump presidency,” the Stump for Trump girls said, “Most definitely, yes.”
“African-American people need hope,” Hardaway said. “In order to have hope, you need jobs. You need something where you wouldn’t be out there in the streets fighting because you would have to get up and go to work the next morning. They need hope again, Don. And I think we would thrive and do really well under Donald Trump.”
The staunch Trump supporters revealed that they were invited to go to Donald Trump’s Alabama rally, but they could not make it to the airport in time.
“We were there with him in spirit,” Hardaway said.
