Approximately 100 prolife supporters protested outside Planned Parenthood Bixby in Los Angeles on Saturday morning as part of nationwide protests against the government-subsidized abortion provider.
Only four counter-protestors showed up.
Breitbart News interviewed several pro-life supporters. The pro-Planned Parenthood activists refused to be interviewed after several attempts to speak with them. One did respond that they came on their own without support from a larger group.
This particular Planned Parenthood abortion provider is significant because Dr. Deborah Nucatola, highlighted in the first Center for Medical Progress released undercover video, takes part in administering abortions at this very facility, according to several protestors and AbortionDocs.org.
Veronica Silva recounted to Breitbart News how a doctor told her the twins she was carrying nine years ago would not survive and should be aborted. She and her husband decided to keep the boys and they are thriving today.
Mike Parrott shared the story of how he was almost aborted. His mom chose life against the odds and pressure from her doctor and family. That child grew to be a father of three and a United States Marine officer that fought in two wars for his country.
Protestors remained at the location for two hours reciting phrases in both English in Spanish: “No Mas,” and “No Mas abortos.” Chants of “Close,” with the response “Planned Parenthood,” was one of many declared throughout the morning.
Additional protests against Planned Parenthood occurred in most of the 50 United States from Alabama to Wisconsin and extended into international locations. The full list of events planned in coordination for Saturday, August 22 from 9am-11am local time can be found at ProtestPP.com/protests. Hashtags used included #ProtestPP and #PPSellsBabyParts.
The event was called the #PPSellsBabyParts National Day of Protest. The website indicated that over 300 locations were included in the day’s protests.
