Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Hardball With Chris Matthews,” Salon’s Joan Walsh reacted to Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s ISIS plan to bomb oil fields and deemed him to be the “crazy uncle.”
Former Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele said, “I tell you, across America in living rooms who have been watching Donald Trump talking about this, someone just turned to a cousin, an aunt, a brother or a husband and said ‘you know what we should do is just bomb the hell out of them’… and then Trump comes on the air and he says exactly what the cousin, the brother, the uncle said 20 minutes ago. That’s the connection. It’s real, it’s authentic. It is what people are thinking.”
Walsh said, “He’s saying exactly what your crazy uncle says. You’re right, he says exactly what your crazy uncle says … that is crazy … I’m going too bomb the oil fields.”
