In case you forgot that President Obama was on vacation, his staff today released an official Spotify playlist of his favorite Summer easy listening music.
The list description insists that these songs were “hand-picked” by Obama for a Summer playlist.
After beginning with an inexplicably jazzy version of the Sound Of Music’s “My Favorite Things,” the playlist predictably moves into Beyonce territory with Superpower followed by Van Morrison’s “Moon Dance.”
Some themes obviously reflect his current mood in his presidency including “Nothing Even Matters” by Lauryn Hill, and “The Best Is Yet To Come” by Frank Sinatra.
The playlist also features traditional easy listening classics from Al Green, Frank Sinatra, Otis Redding and Ray Charles along with some other surprises including The Lumineers and Mos Def.
