On his Monday show, “Late Night” host Seth Meyers offered his takes on last week’s Republican presidential debate aired on the Fox News Channel. During that segment, he went after RedState editor-in-chief Erick Erickson for rescinding an invitation to Donald Trump after the presidential front-runner was accused of making sexist remarks aimed at debate co-moderator Megyn Kelly.
Meyers pointed to Erickson’s prior remarks about gender, hinting there was hypocrisy in Erickson’s gesture.
“Now, it wasn’t just liberals that were upset with Trump,” Meyers said. “Conservative radio host Erick Erickson disinvited Trump to a gathering of conservatives in Atlanta this weekend due to his comments. And it’s a big deal when Erick Erickson disinvites you for sexism because Erick Erickson is a huge sexist.”
Meyers referred to Erickson’s infamous 2013 remarks to Megyn Kelly about male in other animal species being the so-called “dominant one.”
