First Lady Michelle Obama couldn’t ask for a better role model for her family than Beyoncé Knowles, and while Michelle is known to spend lavishly, so is her hero.
Mrs. Obama announced during an interview with rapper Wale last week that if she were not the First Lady, she would love to be Beyoncè.
“I would be Beyoncè,” she said of the singer. “I’ve got the hands!”
Something the two women have in common, aside from a passion for dancing, is their love for high-priced fashion items.
Page Six reports Beyoncé just shelled out $312,000 for a pair of diamond-encrusted stilettos for an upcoming music video.
While nowhere near the millions of tax dollars spent on an Obama vacation, the fancy footwear sparkle with 1,310 diamonds and are referred to as the “Princess Constellation stilettos.”
“It’s the ultimate; Beyoncé’s one of those fantasy customers,” said House of Borgezie owner Chris Shellis. “If you want someone to model your creations, you can’t get any better than Beyoncé.”
The website describes the shoes as “possibly the eighth wonder of the world.”
Beyoncé’s people reportedly contacted Shellis months ago after seeing the high-priced shoes in a magazine ad.
“It’s a sale,” Shellis continued. “I’ve been told the stilettos are for her next video.”
Bey will also be wearing an $85,000 gold Basque Belt sold by the same company for the video, per Page Six, and might get a tax break for the footwear because they are for “work.”
Obama has been vocal about her love for material assets, making her and Beyoncé even more compatible on the scale of “Best Famous Friends.”
“Beyoncé could not be a better role model for my girls because she carries herself with such class and poise and has so much talent,” said Michelle in 2012.
Beyoncé performed for Michelle at the White House for her 50th birthday in 2014.
