Breitbart News previously reported reports of shot fired at officers at Camp Shelby in Mississippi. WDAM in Hattiesburg now reports that a truck matching the alleged getaway vehicle has been found and two white individuals questioned, both of whom were released afterward.
According to WDAM, the Mississippi Highway Patrol is back on the hunt. They are searching for “two white males driving a Red Ford Ranger.”
The report of shots fired came about 12:10 pm. “Perry County Sheriff Jimmy Dale Smith said that there were no injuries reported.”
“Members of the Forrest County Sheriff’s Department and the U.S. Forestry Commission [are assisting] in the search.”
Anyone with information on the shooting or the suspects is being asked to call Perry County authorities at 601-964-8461.
The alleged August 4 attack comes just over two weeks after the July 16 attack in which Mohammad Abdulazeez allegedly opened fire on two military offices in Chattanooga, killing four Marines and one Sailor.
Camp Shelby has been around since World War I. It “is the largest state-owned and operate field training site in the U.S. More than 100,000 troops from all branches of the U.S. military train at the facility, including reserve and active Army troops, Navy, Marines and Air Force.”
