Over 100,000 fans have signed up to attend upcoming campaign events for self-avowed socialist candidate for the Democratic nomination for president, Bernie Sanders.
The Sanders campaign reports that so far they’ve had 103, 249 people sign up for the 3,520 campaign events that have been scheduled.
Both in-person, live events are planned as well as Internet-based events.
Sanders is also going great guns on social media with #FeelTheBern and #Bernie2016 hastags proliferating at an amazing rate.
But this huge number of signups proves that Sanders has a full, nation-wide campaign. Sanders’s staffers have planned over 3,500 separate events this summer and fall.
Sanders’s campaign is still growing by leaps and bounds, a fact worrying Democrat Party stalwarts in general and Hillary Clinton’s campaign in particular.
Early in July, Sanders proved that he could pack the house when he filled a 10,000-seat arena in Wisconsin, the same arena that Hillary couldn’t fill a week earlier.
Earlier in the month, reports revealed that the Clinton campaign is “worried” over Sanders, as his crowds continue to grow—this despite that Hillary herself claimed she wasn’t really worried about Bernie.
But as early as May, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos said he was worried that Sanders’s campaign could “weaken” Hillary’s campaign.
