Mexican-American comedian George Lopez, the star of two cancelled sitcoms and host of the ill-fated talk show Lopez Tonight, went after Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump over the weekend at a show in Phoenix, AZ.
“This country is better with Latinos in it,” Lopez told spectators in regards to Trump’s outspoken stance on illegal immigration.
Lopez then began to chant, “Donald Trump,” which fans followed with, “F—k that puto!”
In Spanish, “puto” is slang for male whores and is also often used as a gay slur.

Since June, Trump has faced a backlash over his stance on strengthening the country’s border with Mexico.
While discussing international trade and illegal immigration during his June 16 presidential announcement, Trump drew the ire of many Hispanics by saying the U.S. has no way of knowing what kind of people are coming across the border.
“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best… They’re sending people who have lots of problems,” Trump said. “They’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they’re rapists, and some, I assume, are good people.”
Despite a number of controversial statements made by the New York billionaire since, he remains atop a number of national polls.
In a Fox News poll conducted last week and released Friday, 18 percent of Republican primary voters said they would support Trump.
