Rapper Pitbull: I Can’t Stand Trump Because I ‘Ride and Die for’ Hispanic ‘Culture’

Pitbull, the rapper, said in an interview with Univision television personality Jorge Ramos that he can’t stand billionaire real estate mogul and 2016 GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump because Hispanic “culture” is one that he would “ride and die for.”

Ramos, whose daughter is working on the campaign of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton, asked Pitbull in a video excerpt of the full interview which will air next week released by Fusion: “Let me ask you about Donald Trump. You said that he’s far from ignorant, but—“

“When I say that, it’s that Donald Trump doesn’t become Donald Trump by being ignorant,” Pitbull said. “Okay? He maybe—he may have a big ego. That we all know about Donald Trump but we’ve known that for years. What I think about Trump is he found a button that he likes. He sees that it got people real mad and hot. And he’s going to keep pushing it.”

“Would you go to his hotels? Would you play in his casinos?” Ramos followed up.

“Due to the fact of what has been said, no I wouldn’t be able to go to his hotels,” Pitbull replied. “I wouldn’t be able to. I just can’t. I can’t for the simple fact that you’re speaking to a culture that I ride, I die for. And that culture is the only reason I’m having this conversation right now.”

Pitbull, as he noted in a video he recorded for Facebook founder and amnesty advocate billionaire Mark Zuckerberg’s FWD.us lobbying firm, was born in Miami after both his parents came to the United States from Cuba.

“The greatest tradition I feel that we’ve been blessed with is we’re very proud—very, very proud—but more than anything hard workers, and not only hard workers, but strategic,” Pitbull says of his “immigrant heritage” in the Zuckerberg video. “It’s always about building something If you think about it, my name is Armando, and Armando in Spanish is ‘to build.’”

When asked what his family’s “struggle” coming to America was like, Pitbull said in the Zuckerberg video that “I think the greatest struggle that my family had when they first came over to America I would say the language barrier.”

“And then just figuring out a whole new system,” he continued. “But they were very ambitious, very positive. All they would speak about is hard work, hard work, hard work, hard work, hard work, hard work, hard work. They knew this country, what it had to offer was, you could control your own destiny. You had opportunity. And you had the number one thing which was and which is freedom.”

Pitbull added that in his music, he embraces his “heritage.”

“How is my heritage reflected in the music that I make?” Pitbull repeated a question back to him. “I embody it everywhere I go. If you don’t know where you’re from, you don’t know where you’re going. And if you don’t stand for something, you’re going to fall for anything. I’m very proud to be a first-generation Cuban-American.”

Pitbull is on a first-name basis with Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)—who along with former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is competing for Pitbull’s support in 2016.

The culture of illegal aliens, 11-time New York Times bestselling author Ann Coulter said in an interview with Ramos a couple months ago–the first on her latest bombshell book Adios America: The Left’s Plan To Turn Our Country Into A Third World Hellhole–is “deficient.” oulter told the Mexican-born Ramos:

There are cultures that are obviously deficient. If they weren’t deficient, you wouldn’t be sitting in America interviewing me, I’d be sitting in Mexico. You fled that culture because it is–there are a lot of problems with that culture. Hopefully it can be changed but we can share our culture with other nations without bringing all of their people here. When you bring the people here, you bring those cultures here. That includes honor killings, it includes uncles raping their nieces, it includes dumping litter all over, it includes not paying your taxes, it includes paying bribes to government officials. That isn’t our culture. You can see the successful cultures in the world. They have been studied ad infinitum. America is the best in the world and we are about to lose it. Everyone who lives here is going to lose that. The people who are going to suffer the most are the weak ones–it’s the women, it’s the children, it’s the animals, it’s the plants. No country has ever had the respect for women that Anglo-America does. That is going out the door.

Pitbull’s “heritage” is that of a family that legally immigrated to the United States from Cuba, similar to Rubio’s family’s story and to the story of Rafael Cruz–the father of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX).
